 In this EXTRA activity, before wathing the video, we're going to brainstorm. We're going to ask questions like: -What do bears like to eat? -How do bears get honey? -Where is honey obtained? -Have you ever been stung by a bee? -What should we do if a bee stings us? Afterwards, the students will watch the video.  To work this video, we're going to do a small research project in groups of four students.  There will be five groups in total, since the third-grade class has a total of twenty students. In this research project, the students will use the Internet to search for information about bees, specifically the honey-making process.  Once the information is collected, the students will use Canva to create their presentation and show it to their classmates.

We're going to work on listening and speaking through a very motivating song. The song is "Let's Go to the Zoo" by Super Single Song. Video song First, we'll project the video on the digital whiteboard. Then, we'll do the following activities: 1. Let's imitate the sounds and actions of all the animals in the video. For example: We ask, "What does a monkey do?" We show the action with gestures: "The monkey swings," and the students repeat the action: "Swing like a monkey!" We'll do this by repeating it with other animals. 2.Let's make two giant dice: one with actions and one animal die. The students will roll both dice. If a child rolls "jump" and the animal is "elephant," everyone tries to jump like elephants.

  Taking advantage of the fact that the students already know the story "Chanticleer", I've designed a Genially for each student to complete individually using their tablet.  The questions are focused on the text, especially to work on reading comprehension and vocabulary. Genially Chanticleer

We are going to carry out this activity in different steps: 1. Shared Reading of the Story First, we have to read A Little Bit of Magic together (projected on the board).  A little bit of Magic Then, we discuss the main characters, the conflict, and the story's message. We will ask questions to the students, for example: .What part felt the most magical?  -What if the ending were different? 2. Script Writing In small groups (3–4 students), the students creates a new ending for the story or a spin-off (a new version from another character’s perspective). 3. Dictionary   For this activity, I created this picture dictionary with Canva. Each student will have their own animal picture dictionary. We can play as a flashcard game.  It would be as follows: Each student chooses an animal (without looking at it) and places it on their forehead with a headband. They have to try to guess what animal it is. The rest of their classmates will make gestures and sounds to help them guess. Then they have to try to find a classmate who has the same animal on their forehead on their headband.

One day, Chanticleer dreams that a fox is trying to catch him, but his companion tells him not to pay attention. However, the dream comes true when a cunning fox uses flattery to trick him and almost steals him away. Chanticleer, using his wits, manages to escape in the end. The story has a humorous tone but leaves an important lesson. I chose this story because it combines humorous elements with a valuable lesson. Although it is a seemingly simple story about animals, it leaves a clear lesson about not being swayed by flattery and being careful around cunning people.
